Headline: Company Demonstrate Flying Motorcycle

Caption: A French company have demonstrated their flying motorcycle. The Lazareth LMV 496 is the brainchild of designer Ludovic Lazareth and his team. Dubbed La Moto Volante (The Flying Bike), it is described as "the very first motorcycle in the world that can be transformed into a quadricopter." It is claimed the vehicle can convert from ride to flying mode in around 60 seconds. They have now (17 Mar) shown a test of the bike hovering in the air while tethered to a platform for safety. The company say: "It's a crazy commitment with the whole team. It is the very first motorcycle in the world that can be transformed into a quadricopter. Behind it there are failures, but no doubts. "The motorcycle runs with electric engines, easy to drive, homologated for road use. To fly, there are four turbines alimented by kerosene. It's a flying motorcycle. For real." According to Gizmag, the Moto Volante will appear at Gitex electronics trade show in Dubai in October, where pre-orders are expected to be €496,000 (£424,536).
