Headline: The £9.5 Million Batmobile: Bugatti Release 261mph One-Off Supercar Fit For A Superhero

Caption: If Batman is ever in need of a new set of wheels, Bugatti has it covered. The French luxury brand has released a one-off supercar to celebrate the car firm's 110th anniversary. The car, which was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, will be the only one to be made. Dubbed La Voitire Noire, the sleek motor has a hefty price tag of £9.5million, making it the world's most expensive car. But the soaring price tag has not put off potential buyers, with the one-off vehicle already sold to a “Bugatti enthusiast.” “For £9.5million this unique car has already been sold to a Bugatti enthusiast,” a press release for the car said. “The car enthusiast is fascinated by the Atlantic; with the Voiture Noire, he has acquired a vehicle that takes up the legend and carries the idea forward to the present day.” The car has a jet-black carbon fibre body and a 1,500 horsepower 16-cylinder engine. The Geneva car show is dominated by new electric supercars, but the Bugatti's six exhaust pipes speak to a very different market for power and noise. One motoring journalist said there was something "Darth Vader about it". Bugatti is not saying exactly how fast the car goes. However, the specs are similar to another of Bugatti's astonishing pieces of engineering, the Chiron. This car reaches 62mph in 2.4 seconds and has a top speed of 261mph. La Voiture Noire, Bugatti says, pays homage to its Type 57 SC Atlantic. Just four were made between 1936 and 1938, and fashion designer Ralph Lauren is the owner of the last Atlantic produced.
