Headline: Aston Martin Unveils V6-Powered Vanquish Vision Concept

Caption: In an unprecedented show of force, Aston Martin has chosen the 89th Geneva Motor Show to complete a trio of world debuts with the first glimpse of the breathtaking Vanquish Vision Concept. A tantalising preview of Aston Martin’s first series production mid-engined supercar, the Vanquish Vision Concept showcases the design language of the marque’s most ambitious model, taking centre stage today alongside AM-RB 003 – the marque’s third mid-engined hypercar - and the Lagonda All-Terrain Concept. Reviving an iconic nameplate traditionally reserved for Aston Martin’s flagship production model, the advanced design study provides further evidence of the proudly British brand’s intent to compete in one of the most hotly contested market sectors in the automotive world - one traditionally defined by Italian supercar makers – with this Gaydon built offering. To be built at Aston Martin’s boutique headquarters factory at Gaydon in Warwickshire, it would be the UK firm’s first mid-engined series production supercar designed to sell in larger numbers rather than as limited edition runs, but will still cost well-heeled customers between £250,000 and £300,000. It has been unveiled alongside the forthcoming all-electric luxury £300,000 Lagonda all-terrain SUV - which will be built at its new factory at St Athan, in Wales, from 2022, along with a zero-emissions luxury saloon model and the Aston DBX crossover - and the extreme £1million AM-RB 003 hypercar, touted as a baby Valkyrie. The Vanquish will be powered by a new hybrid V6 engine - most likely 3.0-litres in capacity – that will also see service in the AM-RB 003. Aston Martin bosses have dubbed the new Vanquish their ‘British Ferrari beater’. Chief technical officer Max Szwaj said the Vanquish Vision will help the brand takes its next step 'into new territory'.
