Headline: Photographer Captures Pumas Jumping Over Fences In Chile

Caption: A wildlife photographer has captured graceful pumas leaping over a manmade fence - except one that 'couldn't be bothered' and nonchalantly padded THROUGH the barrier. Paul Goldstein shot the scenes in Chile in December (2018). He said it bought to mind the controversial faked image of a likely trained wolf leaping over a gate that was stripped of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year award in 2009. Wimbledon-based Paul, who guides for Exodus Travels (www.exodus.co.uk), explains: "These pumas are wild, taken on foot in Chile and the fence is an old estancia perimeter. I raced ahead of the animals hoping they would do something similar to that bogus wolf. The first ones did, more than once but what amused me was the last sub-adult could not be bothered. It was a great moment during an eventful time with these enigmatic predators that live in Torres del Paine National Park." "There is no such thing as a perfect wildlife photo, that is why it is such an intoxicating mistress, long may that continue."
