Headline: Couple Take Photobooth Picture Every Year For 20 Years

Caption: PICTURE SHOWS: Giles says that 2006's image was a "momentous photobooth moment" as Michelle was three months pregnant. ...... .... MORE WORDS AVAIL: info@covermg.com .... A couple who have taken photobooth pictures together annually for 20 years, have masked up for this year’s portrait. Giles Paley-Phillips, 43, and now wife, Michelle, 38, decided to document their love using passport photograph machines in 2000. Since then, the couple from Seaford, East Sussex, have ventured into a booth every year - and now squeeze in their two children: Elijah, 13, and Sonny, eleven. This year, however, the family decided to acknowledge the Covid-19 pandemic by donning their PPE in the booth. Giles, an author and co-presenter of the Blank podcast, explains: “We were really worried that we might not get to do our photobooth photograph this year after 20 years of not missing it, but we rocked up to our local supermarket and in the entrance the booth was still working and ready to go. “We thought it only appropriate to recognise what's been happening this year and wear our masks to mark our tradition and in years to come be able to look back at this time.” The twenty-one pictures chart their relationship from a beaming couple in the first flushes of love to a contented family of four. They snapped the latest portrait this month (November). Giles says: "It's becoming increasingly difficult to find photo booths these days, we’ve had to travel several miles to a nearby Sainsbury's, also the machines are becoming too sophisticated, with a vast array of options. The kids still like to play along with the whole tradition, but it is becoming more of a squeeze in the booth, but it's still a special day when we go out and get it done. Maybe one day there will grandchildren to squash into the booth."
