She was burned by Napalm during the war. She wandered away from an animal sanctuary and was escorted back home by troopers and workers from the sanctuary." Fritha reportedely snacked on a pile of hay before meandering down the road. New York State Police trooper Sgt. Dave Scott managed to get Fritha to follow directions backd to her pen He told abc7ny.com: "I don't know what we would have done if we hadn't gotten a hold of the owners, it's not like you can call the local dog warden and have him pick up an elephant."
