Headline: Hero Police Dog Dies

Caption: A police dog that helped capture more than 200 suspects has died. Hutch served with Florida's Boynton Beach Police Department from 2007 to his retirement in September 2014. The Belgian Malinois, who was 13 when he died, went to live with his police handler, Officer Mark Sohn, after he quit crime fighting. The crimes committed by suspects apprehended ranged from attempted murder to robbery and burglary. The Boynton Beach Police Department posted an online tribute to the K-9, in which they looked back at the cherished dog's career. In it they detailed that Sohn and Hutch took top honours in the 2012 South Florida Police K9 competition. The police department wrote: "Hutch touched the hearts of hundreds of Boynton Beach residents; he was known for his endearing personlaity and the love of attention." In a magazine interview Mark Sohn had noted: "He has to depend on me. I have to depend on him... you have to build that trust. We're a good team." "He was a loyal, trustworthy crime fighter who protected me, my fellow officers and the community," commented Sohn.
