Headline: All Hail! The 2019 NYC Taxi Drivers Calendar Is Here

Caption: IN PHOTO: Mr January, Bamba Forget the hunky firefighters and the pretty pin-ups that typically grace the pages of the nation's calendars - the yearly NYC Taxi Drivers Calendar is back for 2019. The tongue-in-cheek series of photos features real New York City cab drivers in various states of undress next to their yellow cabs, often showing off their on-the-soft-side physiques, or 'dad bods', in silly and provocative poses. The calendar, which is released every year as a sort of spoof on the FDNY's muscle-packed yearly offer, sees a different cabbie, who come in all ages and races, posing with the cars that provide them with their livelihood. The calendar features a diverse mix of 12 drivers and this year 11 of the 12 drivers are immigrants. The 2019 edition also sees first time representation from Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Panama, and Russia. Highlights of the calendar include June driver Alex posing with a 10-foot, 40-pound Burmese python and for the month of April cabbie Alam recreating the iconic boombox scene from the 80s film 'Say Anything'. On sale for $14.99 each, a portion of the proceeds from the calendar go to University Settlement on the Lower East Side. The organization helps more than 30,000 immigrants, both individuals and families, with essential services included housing and education. Since it was started in 2014 by husband and wife team Phil and Shannon Kirkman, the calendar has raised over $50,000. You can purchase a calendar at nyctaxicalendar.com.
