Headline: Victoria Beckham joins other designers to inspire afternoon tea at luxury London hotel

Caption: She may not be re-uniting with the Spice Girls on tour next summer but Victoria Beckham has been honored with an appearance on a top London hotel's afternoon tea menu. British Fashion Queen Beckham and her signature shopping bag has been interpreted as a Victoria sponge (of course) on The Berkeley Hotel's new Autumn/Winter 2018 afternoon tea menu. The Prêt-à-Portea collection is set to wow this winter with couture cakes and boot biscuits inspired by this season’s runway highlights. A favourite with fashionistas, Prêt-à-Portea adds an innovative twist to the traditional English afternoon tea bringing the latest catwalk trends to the cake-walks. Celebrating her 10th anniversary with her signature shopping bag (complete with legs akimbo) the Victoria sponge shares a plate with royal wedding dress designer Peter Pilotto’s ubiquitous pink satin blazer biscuit straight from Beyoncé’s ‘On the Run’ tour. Tom Ford’s leopard print sequinned two-piece suit is transformed into a mint cake with chocolate bavarois and, embracing their playful side this season, Prada’s print canvas tote complete with dinosaur is reimagined as a chocolate walnut brownie and decorated with, none other than, a white chocolate stegosaurus. From dinosaurs to polka dots, Ada Kokosar’s polka dot midnight shoe is transformed into a lemon and poppy cheesecake adorned with a delicate sugar frill and Mulberry’s chic winter look becomes a pecan madeleine cake with oversized buttons and sugar pearls. Adding a touch of colour is Valentino’s extravagant orange dress gracing the cakewalk as an orange Charlotte with citrus marmalade. Fashion favourite Erdem’s Zelena dress is interpreted as a pink lady apple mousse cake with edible silver glitter and sugar florals. And of course, taking a fashionable step forward, Fendi’s Cutwalk cowboy boots top the cake-stand as a chocolate biscuit with baby blue icing. Prêt-à-Portea is served at The Berkeley from 1pm - 5.30pm every day priced at £58 per person; £68 including a glass of Laurent Perrier champagne, or £74 per person including a glass of rosé champagne. Masterclasses are priced at £225 per person and will be available every Wednesday and the first Sunday of the month from 2-4pm.
