EOS is a zero-emission, unmanned airship designed from the ground up to cater to a wide range of roles across multiple industries. Developed by Avalon Airships, the vehicles are designed to improve policing, surveillance, ambulance and rescue services, while it can also be used commercially, in areas such as freight, entertainment, and farming. Avalon‘s EOS is a fully autonomous, zero emission airship, designed for mass production with flexible payload and operational capabilities. It utilises a fully electric drivetrain and a streamlined hybrid design, allowing it to operate silently at high speeds for long periods. With a range of over 300 miles, EOS can transport goods and observe vast areas reliably. Being able to fly at a wide range of altitudes allows this vehicle to choose the most efficient path to the destination. Paired with fully autonomous operation, EOS can operate night and day with very little downtime and at minimal cost. Water-only landings give this helium-filled airship a huge amount of possible landing sites. It also ensures operation is safe and reliable through the use of a water ballast system. This rapidly sucks up water, increasing the vehicle's net weight upon landing and preventing accidental take-off. For the police, surveillance, ambulance and rescue service applications of EOS, the aircraft is equipped with a remotely piloted drone, allowing it to give direct aid in emergencies. A range of storage compartments allow the drone to carry a wide range of curated medical and survival payloads.
