Have you ever been in the middle of the street and had the urge to scream your innermost secret to people? Do you ever see writing on a street wall and tell yourself, 'I feel the exact same way'? Things like, "I’m in love with my best friend!", "I steal stuff!", "I’ve seen all The Twilight Saga!".

Designer and artist Dan Spiegelmann has created a place in the street where you can reveal your darkest secret. The 'Mobile Confessional' has been set up on a street in Tel Aviv, Israel where strangers can enter the box, write down a secret or confession on a post it note and stick it to the wall anonymously.

The aim of the installation is to, "establish a new territory through intervention in the public space, which will lead to social interaction between strangers", writes Dan on his website. Passers-by are invited to confess their own thoughts or read the confessions of others.

Spiegelmann adds, "The Mobile Confessional is meant to provide a possibility of momentary relief. We all have secrets, and we all walk around with mental burdens, and as the Jewish saying goes “a sorrow shared is a sorrow halved."

Some of the confessions already written down are; 'I'm gay', 'I hate children', 'I lie too much', and 'I've cheated and enjoyed it'.

Spiegelmann plans to take the mobile confessional on tour to find out whether different socio-cultural and socio-economic environments will change the nature of the confessions. Dan explains, "That can lead to a psychological anthropological conclusion and even create a kind of record."
