Caption: British photographer John Baker has transformed his amazing firework photography into stunning psychedelic fine art using a photographic technique known as Polar Coordinates, which converts a flat image into a round sphere. The process is also known as creating Tiny or Little Planets. ''I thought the combination of colours and fireworks would be particularly effective when processed in this way. I started with the basic technique of taking your image, duplicating and then reversing the second picture – this allows things to line up when you create your tiny planet," John explained. "As I was shooting my images from a tripod I had several different images shot from exactly the same spot, so I was then able to experiment putting different images together." The original images were taken from an elevated position on Plymouth Hoe during the 2017 British Firework Championships, held in Plymouth's Waterfront on 9th and 10th August.
