Headline: Aston Martin Unveils Its Stunning New £500,000 Vanquish Zagato Speedster

Caption: Aston Martin has unveiled it's stunning new special edition Vanquish Zagato Speedster which costs an estimated whopping £500,000. Even if you can afford it though, you can’t have it. Just 28 of the Vanquish Zagato Speedster models have been made and they’ve sold out already. The Speedster joins the Coupe and Volante versions which debuted last year and will be followed by a Shooting Brake variant in 2018. Power will come from a 592bhp 6.0-litre V12 engine and a Zagato suspension set-up. The new model has several styling tweaks over the other family members with a different front grille and headlight design. The two-seater cabin also has two “speed humps” on the rear to mimic the trademark bubble-roof that appears on the coupe Zagato. The body is made entirely from carbon fibre and features “blade” taillights carried over from the Aston Martin Vulcan and 3D Zagato “Z” motifs throughout. The car takes inspiration from the 2003 DB AR1 Zagato that is fully open-top with no temporary cover even if the rain comes. Marek Reichman, Aston Martin chief creative officer, said: “We haven’t released Zagato models as a family before, at least not in this way, but the idea is not without precedent. “Think back to the DB7 Zagato and DB AR1, or the V8 Zagato Coupe and Volante, for example. We’ve simply taken things a few steps further. “Why create a family of Zagatos? Well, many of our customers want different things. “Some prefer the purity of a Coupe, but others love the idea of something more extreme, like the Speedster. And yes, some of them have ordered one example of each.”
