Headline: Rescued Opossum Pulls Embarrassed Grin

Caption: This young opossum appears to be pulling an embarrassed grin for the camera - after getting its head stuck in a dumspter. The hapless critter was discovered by accident by a Florida house cleaner throwing out the trash. Thankfully, Manatee County-based Wildlife, Inc. Education & Rehabilitation Center were able to attend the scene and extract the opossum's head. Wildlife rescuer Devon Straight explains: "As if our share of calls on animals stuck in odd places could get any more bizarre, this young opossum managed to trap his head in a hole in the side of a dumpster. He was discovered by a house cleaner throwing out trash, who by chance glanced down at the base of the dumpster. When I arrived, I hopped inside the dumpster and fortunately was easily able to gently remove its head slowly from the hole. He was thin and dehydrated, leading me to believe he was trapped for hours. I brought him back for rehab until he can gain back his strength."
