Caption: Zip World is bringing adventure to the capital with the opening of Zip World London - the biggest, fastest city centre zip line in the world - on London’s Southbank. This extraordinary experience gives riders unique views of the London Eye and Big Ben. The double zip wire begins 35 meters above the ground, with adventurers making their 225 metre journey across the London skyline over Archbishop’s Park. The adventure, which opens from 18th July until 1st October, is an experience that lasts 40 minutes including safety briefing and kit up. Founder, Barry Shaverin, says: “Zip lines and the greatest cityscape in the world – it seemed such an obvious idea to put the two together. Archbishop’s Park is one of London’s best kept secrets so it was the perfect location. Zip World was the obvious partner to bring some of the excitement they achieve in Wales.” This is the first urban adventure from the Zip World team, in partnership with the City Zip Company. Zip World has been the catalyst for the transformation of north Wales into the UK’s adventure capital since 2013. Their first launch, Velocity, is the fastest zip line in the world, where adventurers exceed 100mph across a former slate quarry. Since then, the business has added Europe’s first four-person zip line with Titan, the world’s largest underground playground with Caverns and Bounce Below and the UK’s only Alpine Coaster at the Betws-y-Coed Fforest site.
