Chicago-based company Beastgrip has launched a product that provides the best of both worlds - so you don't have to compromise quality for practicality. The DOF Adapter MK2 is an innovative device that allows you to use high quality SLR/DSLR lenses with your smartphone to capture cinematic photos and videos - with it, you'll be able to achieve that dreamy bokeh in out-of-focus parts of your image. The rig consists of a sliding frame that will securely clamp your phone into position so its camera lens is lined up with the Beastgrip’s lens mount. From there, it’s up to you to use your own gear and imagination. "Smartphone cameras are great, but they have substantial limitations. Without true depth of field, larger sensors and/or the option to add lenses or camera gear, most photos/videos that are shot with one all look the same," Beastgrip boss Vadym Chalenko says. "We're here to change that."
