Headline: Futuristic Porsche 618 Motorcycle

Caption: Could this be future of Porsche - in the form of a motorcycle? Spanish designer Miguel Angel Bahri has imagined the Porsche 618; an electric, two-wheeled homage to the iconic German car brand. It features an 160 horsepower motor, 20 kilowatt-hour battery pack, and comes complete with hi-tech connectivity to internet and GPS through a smart 8" touch display. Despite the German badge, Miguel says he has been influenced by American 'cruiser style' motorcycles from the 1930s to the early 1960s, including machines made by Harley Davidson, Indian and Henderson. "Power cruisers can be leaned farther for better cornering compared to a normal cruiser," he says. Explaining his concept, he explains: "This is my vision of a Porsche electric motorcycle. I made this for a "Two Wheels Project": the brief consisted of making a pure electric motorcycle concept, as close to reality as possible. I chose the Porsche 911 turbo, 917, 918 and 919 as main inspirations. "It is called the 618 because it would be the entry level two wheels vehicle for the brand. I wanted to represent the spirit and character of Porsche in this futuristic-looking, pure electric and exclusive power cruiser. This should be considered as the pure sculptural entry model, as I am developing the RS version." The 618 also features a 'centre hub' steering column, batteries central to the bike to aid stability, and luggage compartment doors inspired by 'Le Mans' race cars.
