Headline: This Dental Clinic In Russia Could Be The Scariest In The World

Caption: Nobody likes going to the dentist, it's pretty scary, but after seeing these shock images of a dental clinic in Russia, you'll realise your visit probably wasn't so bad. Based just outside Moscow, the Dental Clinic N2 is a horrifying fully-functioning public dental clinic, but from the outside you would probably think it's an abandoned building. Images taken by patient Julia Kalinina from inside the clinic reveal the astonishingly poor and unsanitary conditions which include a taped-up chair, a toilet without a seat, dirty and broken surfaces and floors and dental tools Julia explains "are probably older than me'". Astonished by what she had seen, Julia documented her visit by taking pictures of the surgery - with the dentists' permission. "(The) dentists know I took the images. I said I'll try to publish them and dentists were glad. Authorities don't pay attention to complaints," explains Julia. In Russia, there are either private or public dental clinics, with the public clinics treating patients for free, therefore only ever receiving funds from the Government. "Dentists are not praised for their work (in Russia). They suffer because of poor facilities and try to do what they can. Spend their own money to paint the walls for example. But they can't do much. Their salaries are not high. Approximately $500 per month." Julia visited the clinic after experiencing horrendous tooth pain, but once inside, she unsurprisingly refused treatment due to the shocking conditions inside. We think we'd do the same!
