French fashion photographer Etienne Clotis wanted to take an updated look at the timeless characters of the animation studio. The result is a quirky glance at 'cool-girl' versions of the princesses, that also include Rapunzel from Tangled, Cinderella, and Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Etienne explains: "I turned these beautiful models into our favourite Disney princesses – but with a twist. In each image, you’ll see that I’ve brought something new to the table, adding a little something extra to the lives of our dress-wearing, crown-donning childhood figures. "The devil is in the detail, and in these shots you will see something that adds to the character of our princesses or brings them out of their world and a puts them into ours – whether it be a smartphone in the pocket, a frog on the shoulder, or an ice-cream oozing with magic!"
