The jaw-dropping images are the work of not-for-profit project AirPano.com, who focus on creating high-resolution spherical panoramas from a bird's eye view. The Russia-based team wanted to showcase the positive impact of mankind on the landscape. Their work includes impressive views of landmarks and picturesque locations, including Venice, the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, and Germany's Neuschwanstein Castle in winter; which served as a prototype for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Introducing these newly-collated shots, project manager Varvara Panina explains: "It is true that people do not always leave a decent impact on Earth, but these monuments are the most outstanding contribution to the cultural heritage, the pride of many generations and a genuine example of beauty at all times."
