Christian Valdez, was arrested for pushing his girlfriend off the subway platform into an incoming No. 3 train, leading to both of her feet being amputated. The alleged crime took place at the Fulton Street Station on March 8th, at about 10:25 AM. After pushing his 29 year old girlfriend onto the tracks, Mr. Valdez fled the scene, but was caught by the police when he went to report to his parole officer, that evening. Valdez, 35, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and felony assault. Mr. Valdez has had prior violent arrests.
