In protest against the Anti-Defamation League's anti-ceasefire platform, Jewish New Yorkers and allies hold a 7 hour vigil outside of the Javits Center on the opening day of the ADL Conference taking place inside.

The shiva for ceasefire incorporates the traditional Jewish mourning ritual of sitting shiva. People hold signs and banners, chant, sing, listen to speakers and hand out pamphlets to conference attendees as they enter.

The shiva is organized by IfNotNow which disputes the claims that the ADL speaks for American Jews and that criticizing Israel is Antisemitism. People wear signs that read ''Let Gaza Live"
