Headline: Designers Redecorate Venue Bathroom Into Soviet Apartment Blocks

Caption: A Lithuanian design studio has transformed a toilet cubicle in one of the hottest venues in Kaunas, Lithuania with the concrete charm of Soviet-era tower blocks. Gyva Grafika, a local company specialising in wall graphics and design, created the tiles for the city's Galeria Urbana bar. The venue, known for it's creative crowd, requested that the bathroom be re-decorated but without having its tiles removed. The artists then decided to photograph a Kaunas neighborhood they grew up in and printed the sights on stickers. The end result being a tile each with a different towerblock window, complete with curtain-twitching neighbours. “Lithuania often neglects its public spaces,” Gyva Grafika told Bored Panda. “A lot of people live in the cleanest apartments but once they step outside the situation changes completely. Stairwells, yards, and other public spaces are usually abandoned and ignored. For this reason, we have decided to balance these daily surroundings and introduced the outside to the inside.”
