The British Virgin Islands were completely decimated by Hurricane Irma. British military forces have secured the police headquarters in Road Town, the capital of the British Virgin Islands, on the island of Tortola. They are using a nearby athletics track as a landing base for their military helicopters to bring in desperately needed food, water and supplies.
