Headline: World’s First Multi-User Hologram Table

Caption: PICTURE SHOWS: Special glasses have thin coating of crystal film to filter out a specific image for each eye using frequency separation ... A company say they have created the world's first multi-user hologram table. Australian firm Euclideon say their innovation will allow users to interact with 3D objects and move them around. Earmarked to go on sale in 2018, Euclideon say they will make different models depending on customer requirements - including a huge version able to let four people stand on it. Prices will start at around AU$60,000 (£37,000), with the largest model expected to be AU$1m (£611k). Users will only have to wear a small set of glasses, instead of bulky AR headgear. The glasses have a thin coating of crystal film to filter specific images and the table can track your eye position and build an image for each eye accordingly. The company say: "After over 20 years of development in 3D atom graphics engines, Euclideon has finally produced the World’s First Multi-User Hologram Table. "The hologram table can display digital models of cities or buildings as miniatures, with the ability to then zoom in down to single blades of grass. Users can pick up objects and move them around, or prepare holographic presentations to convey an idea. The holograms it projects can project up to 60cm high or appear to sink a metre into the table. "It uses 3D search algorithm technology, which makes it one of the most powerful devices on the planet. It can work with terabytes of data as easily as your home computer can handle gigabytes of data. Tests so far have shown it can run laser scans of entire countries. "Multiple hologram tables can run their data, model or projects from the one central server or over the internet. It uses a new streaming technology that allows models of almost any size to load in less than a second. "The Hologram Table will bring a holographic function to the office, job site and home. With particular value to the Geospatial fields, it has direct applications to the majority of industries and businesses worldwide." Euclideon are currently trying to raise capital to go into production.
