You can't believe you read it, and I can't believe I wrote it, but the controversial U.S. President appears as a Hawaiian shirt-wearing trendy in this hilarious series of pictures. Tel Aviv based artist Amit Shimoni's HIPSTORY II features iconic figures styled in ultra-hip styles. The work include Vladimir Putin as a friendly cool guy with a puppy tattoo, Angela Merkel with a peppy hat and Hillary Clinton with a dip-dye hairdo. Elsewhere Albert Einstein has brains tattooed on his shoulders, Barack Obama rocks dreads and even Her Majesty the Queen appears with a floral head-band. Shimoni explains: "I believe that these people have managed to survive in our collective memory since they were truly larger-than-life and represented something more than just outstanding individuals. 'Hipster' is a weird term. It seems like almost every young urban person you meet can fall under a certain description of 'Hipster'. Which is a part of my point – we all try to express ourselves and our individuality and it becomes the main thing we do, and eventually we all look the same."
