James Cochran and girlfriend Lauren bought the pair home from a rescue shelter near their Florida home, but hadn't intended on keeping both. He explains: "My girlfriend and I adopted the cats when they were 10 weeks old from an animal rescue located near where we live, in Ocala, Florida. Luna, the brown Maine coon, was with Louie, the orange tabby, and his siblings. We didn't make the final decision to adopt them, my girlfriend actually went back to adopt Luna after we had waited about two weeks, and Louie was originally just a foster cat, to help Luna get accustomed to her new living quarters. They were inseparable and we couldn't bear to split them up, so after a week of having them, we adopted Louie as well. They've got a great relationship with one another, they always take care of each other and to put it simply, they love each other. They're currently six months old and they're still stuck to one another, which is great. I'm thankful they even like each other, really. I've had a lot of people question whether they're related or not, and the answer is no."
